Flocking Beauty has grown into a small grazing and weed abatement business, offering grazing to local families and businesses only. We strive to help our local community to maintain crucial fire-breaks in line with local ordinances and fire-wise protocols.
Our lambs are typically born between February and May. We welcome accompanied children aged 11 and under for some free cuddles (by appointment only)
Our farm is home to a wide variety of animals, including sheep, alpacas and chickens. Our goal is to achieve carbon positivity through organic means only, using renewable energy, with yearly harvesting of our crops and seasonal planting of new trees and shrubs.
All ours lambs are born and raised in Orinda with their families. Families are kept with their siblings in minimum groups of 4 and 5. The family cohesion and sense of belonging is a joy to watch and each mother has a strong protective and loyal nature.
It's hard to imagine the strong feelings of escapism and therapeutic release from watching the animals in a natural habitat, but here at Flocking Beauty we strive to create a safe pasture for our animals so that you can enjoy them everyday while they take care of your land.
Our lambs' dulcet tones are a welcome relief in stark contrast to the sound of weed-whackers and leaf-blowers.
Their natural waste recycles the green pastures into organic fertilizer; putting back valuable nutrients into the soil for abundant growth and greenery the following spring.
We love our customers, but we value the privacy of our guests.
